Reid and Derek met while working in the Duluth area and quickly realized they had the same work ethic, same values, and same commitment to doing things the right way.
They also shared a vision: to build something of their own. A company where their top-tier skills made a difference. A business that stood out for delivering excellent work, clear communication, and a genuinely great experience for homeowners.
That vision became Super Duper Plumbing and Heating.
So… what’s with the name? Honestly, it started as a joke between two guys and the more they said it, the more it stuck. “Super Duper” quickly became the perfect way to describe the balance they were going for: high-quality, high-integrity service, with a down-to-earth, light-hearted approach.
Today, Super Duper exists to take the stress out of home repairs. Reid and Derek believe in treating people with respect, explaining things clearly, and helping every customer make informed decisions that are best for their home—and their family.

Meet the Super duper team
Derek Bloom is a licensed Master Plumber with deep roots in Cloquet, Minnesota. Known for his expertise in residential plumbing, Derek’s super power is boiler installations. Whether it’s a complex system overhaul or a simple repair, Derek brings a commitment to quality and craftsmanship to every job.
When he’s not working, Derek enjoys spending time at his hunting shack, snowmobiling or relaxing at home with his black lab, Tucker.
If it’s broken, Reid can probably fix it. He's the guy that other HVAC companies have called when they can't solve something. Reid's super power is not only fixing things, but also providing a clear explanation so you understand your equipment better.
Originally from SE Minnesota, Reid relocated to Esko in 2019 when his super hot wife wanted to move back to Esko. Now settled with three kids, Reid has built a reputation of providing efficient, high-quality workmanship and top-notch communication with customers.
When he’s not saving the day one furnace at a time, you’ll find Reid with his family at the lake soaking up the north woods life.
